Our team has tallied the most popular hardware wallet devices in Vietnam in the early summer of 2026 – and once again, French juggernaut Ledger remains the undisputed market leader and the hardware wallet of choice for self-custody seekers in Vietnam.
While the “cypherpunk” or “purist” criticism of Ledger remains a strong undercurrent in the ongoing debate about the best way to secure one’s digital-asset savings in self-custody, it must also be recognized that Ledger has contributed significantly to bringing a wider share of users into self-custody in the first place.
“Perfect is the enemy of good” – and we are still living in a far better world when people use any hardware wallet rather than none.

The French once again defended their leadership position among hardware wallet customers in Vietnam, with Ledger currently accounting for about half of the market. Over the past one to two years, the Paris-based company has significantly upgraded the design and haptics of its devices compared with the classic Nano series.
The Ledger Nano Gen5 and Ledger Flex have become available in Vietnam in recent months and have certainly played their part in helping the French manufacturer maintain its leading position.

The main challenger – European counterpart Trezor – also recorded one of its stronger quarters since we began tracking sales numbers, capturing about one-third of the total market.
The arrival of Trezor’s new flagship model, the Trezor Safe 7, has certainly helped bolster these numbers. The Trezor Safe 7 places a strong focus on durability: it is the first Trezor device to feature a full metal body made from machined, anodized aluminium, rather than the usual plastic bodies common among most hardware wallets.

The remaining roughly one-sixth of the market is split among Hong Kong-based newcomer Keystone – which is currently the only hardware-wallet manufacturer offering full support for shielded Zcash, for users seeking that functionality – and the Bitcoin-only devices offered by Coinkite and Blockstream.

As observed in BitcoinVN Shop’s previous quarterly sales reports, Bitcoin-only devices remain a niche offering in the broader hardware-wallet market. However, given Bitcoin’s particular qualities as sound money, its non-replicable impeccable conception, and therefore its unrivalled position as a long-term, sovereign store of value, dedicated Bitcoin-only devices – with their narrower attack surface and highly focused security model – certainly have their place among self-custody seekers who want to retain control of their own money.
We look forward to reporting on how trends in the hardware-wallet market develop over the remainder of the year, while further simplifying access through our new partnership with BitCoffee Da Nang.
