Time for a final report on the hardware wallet trends in Vietnam in 2025 – covering both our <\/span>quarterly review<\/b> as well as a look at the <\/span>complete annual performance and popularity<\/b> of the various wallet manufacturers active in the Vietnamese market.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the <\/span>last quarter of 2025<\/b>, once again <\/span>Ledger managed to maintain a comfortable lead<\/b> as the hardware wallet of choice for the majority of users in Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span> recent introduction of their flagship model, <\/span>Ledger Stax<\/b><\/a>, certainly helped to bolster these numbers further – successfully capturing the <\/span>higher end of the market<\/b>, where users are willing to spend more for added convenience and usability. In particular, the <\/span>large E-Ink touchscreen<\/b> of the <\/span>Ledger Stax<\/span><\/a> has resonated well with users who value a more intuitive and friction-reduced interaction when managing their digital assets.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the more surprising developments in the last quarter was the surge of Bitcoin-only hardware wallet manufacturer <\/span>Coinkite<\/b> with its flagship product, <\/span>Coldcard<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only does this mark a <\/span>record market share<\/b> for the rough-edged North Americans, it also represents an <\/span>all-time high<\/b> for Bitcoin-only devices in the Vietnamese market overall.<\/span><\/p>\n

While <\/span>Blockstream<\/b> – with its Jade Bitcoin-only hardware wallet line<\/span><\/a> – had a comparatively weak quarter, the strong demand for Coinkite devices more than made up for it – resulting in <\/span>Bitcoin-only devices accounting for roughly a quarter of the market<\/b> this quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n

While we remain skeptical that this represents a lasting shift in trend, it may point toward an emerging phenomenon:<\/span><\/p>\n

The potential end of <\/span>\u201cretail crypto\u201d<\/span><\/i> as we know it – with many native \u201cCrypto OGs\u201d becoming exhausted (mentally or financially), while TradFi, with its convenient, custodial offerings and wide distribution networks, increasingly takes over the so-called \u201cretail market\u201d which is largely focused on making a quick buck.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, the more serious and <\/span>dedicated Bitcoin holders <\/b>remain steadfast, continuing to <\/span>strengthen and build out their security setups<\/b> to ensure their holdings stay where they belong – under their own control.<\/span><\/p>\n

A possible <\/span>K-shaped economic dynamic<\/b> is becoming visible here as well: the middle ground is disappearing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Those primarily chasing <\/span>\u201cfast money\u201d<\/span><\/i> can now get their dopamine hits without the friction of owning a crypto wallet – or bearing the additional costs that come with it – while those who take it seriously increasingly move onto a <\/span>Bitcoin-only path<\/b>, focusing on securing their holdings in the most robust way possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, <\/span>2025 remained a year in which Ledger confidently maintained its lead<\/b> as the most popular hardware wallet in Vietnam by a wide margin. That said, alternative multi-coin wallet solutions from European OG manufacturer <\/span>Trezor<\/b><\/a> clearly remain on the horizon, while Coinkite – despite its highly specialized, niche product – conquered a market share of over 10% on its own.<\/span><\/p>\n
