Lightning Base Japan and BitcoinVN Shop announce their official partnership to advance Bitcoin self-custody tools and education across Asia, especially their respective home markets in Japan and Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lightning Base Japan \u2013 part of the project group administered by Diamond Hands Japan under the leadership of one of Japan\u2019s preeminent Bitcoin OGs, Koji Higashi \u2013 and BitcoinVN Shop, a subsidiary of Vietnam\u2019s premier Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency Exchange BitcoinVN and an official supplier of Blockstream, Trezor, and other leading self-custody products in Vietnam, have joined forces to improve access for more individuals to take control of their own private keys.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lightning Base’s mission is to promote self-custody, create and sell unique goods for Bitcoiners, and make more real-world goods purchasable with Bitcoin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lightning Base Japan has also recently established a presence at Tokyo Bitcoin Base, opening a dedicated permanent physical storefront. This flagship Bitcoin hub in Japan\u2019s capital hosts many of the country\u2019s leading Bitcoin ecosystem contributors, including the headquarters of Mempool.space and the Bitcoin-focused investment firm Fulgur Ventures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both of our teams have spent years building trusted audiences in our respective markets, and now aim to make it easier for everyone to access the tools needed to protect their savings in Bitcoin – the hardest money available.<\/span><\/p>\n

A strong Bitcoin network depends on putting UTXOs into the hands of as many individuals as possible. The more people take self-custody of their coins, the more resilient the network becomes. In short: centralized custody weakens Bitcoin – decentralized custody is what makes it work in the long run.<\/span><\/p>\n
