No further editorial work in the creation of this article has been conducted by the BitcoinVN News team.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The city of Da Nang, Vietnam, which some have dubbed \u201cBitcoin Beach Vietnam,\u201d will play host to <a href=\"https:\/\/lightningcon.org\/\">Asia\u2019s first Bitcoin and Lightning Network conference<\/a> in the region. Neutronpay, BitcoinVN and Nunchuk \u2014 all Vietnam-based Bitcoin companies \u2014 are excited to share what is happening in Asia as it relates to Bitcoin projects, Bitcoin communities and Lightning adoption across the region. The conference will take place on March 22 through 24, 2023 at the beautiful beachside Furama Resort.<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm Weed, chief operating officer of Neutronpay, who is the event\u2019s main organizer, said, \u201cWe\u2019re extremely excited to be putting on the world\u2019s first Bitcoin and Lightning event in Asia. Bitcoin adoption is very strong across the region, with countries like Vietnam, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Thailand and China all being in the top-10 global rankings for Bitcoin adoption, making it the world\u2019s Bitcoin epicenter. With over 4 billion people in Asia \u2014 70% of which are unbanked \u2014 it is no wonder Bitcoin adoption is so strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm continued, \u201cWhen I looked around, I noticed that other parts of the world were being represented with events, but Asia and more specifically emerging markets in Asia had none, and were being completely overlooked considering the global rankings. We\u2019re proud to say that since we announced the event, it has been highly talked about and is now on many people\u2019s yearly must-hit conference calendars. We\u2019ve so far built a great speaker list, composed of many recognizable Bitcoiners, with an emphasis on making sure we have representation from countries across South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event will kick off with a beach meet and greet on the evening of March 22, followed by two days of speakers sharing the latest developments across the Bitcoin ecosystem, touching on both technological and economic aspects. There will also be a strong representation of companies that are building on the Lightning Network and will share the current state of affairs and what exciting things are currently being worked on.<\/p>\n<p>There will only be 500 attendees, so tickets are limited. General admission two-day passes are currently priced at $375, with ticket prices going up again on March 1.
