If you are interested in the <\/span>BitcoinVN staking service<\/span><\/a> but want to better understand your risks, read on.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you get hacked, are there any assurances for the return of funds?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

There are none. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, we try to:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Avoid getting hacked<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. \u00a0Manage our hot wallet risk exposure prudently\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Cover any losses via company reserves in case we are successfully attacked<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    However, it is a fully custodial service<\/strong>, and users who participate in the staking program accept the risk of trusting others (in this case, us) to “not mess up<\/em>“.<\/span><\/p>\n

    We are not claiming that this service is “essentially risk-free” or making up any other bullshit claims to make you deposit funds with us, which evaporate alongside your money in a SHTF scenario.<\/span><\/p>\n

    There are risks, and we want you to fully understand them and manage them on your side accordingly. Do not deposit any funds that you cannot afford to lose!<\/span><\/p>\n

    If it makes you uncomfortable to think about losing funds deposited with us (or any other custodial service for that matter!), <\/span>learn about self-custody<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>protect your own keys<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Hence, we generally recommend our user base to self-custody unless they understand and accept the risks.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Overall, even if users are interested in participating in the staking program, we recommend keeping exposure limited (<\/span>“do not risk more than you can afford to lose”<\/span><\/i>).<\/span><\/p>\n

    And while this all sounds <\/span>“very bad\/risky”<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/p>\n

    We also have <\/span>over a decade of business experience under our belt<\/span><\/a>; there are not many companies in our sector in the world (and none in Vietnam) that have survived that long.<\/span><\/p>\n
