The BTM department of BitcoinVN announced in a recent tweet that all their current Bitcoin ATMs have been upgraded to enable SegWit deposits and withdrawals from their machines.
Native SegWit addresses can be identified that they commonly begin with “bc1…” at the start of the alphanumeric string.
SegWit transactions provide significant transaction cost savings over transactions utilizing non-SegWit addresses due to their more efficient data transmission.
The BTM department of BitcoinVN – Vietnam’s oldest Bitcoin exchange service – launched back in summer 2016 the very first Bitcoin ATM in Vietnam and is currently operating a fleet of four machines across various districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
BitcoinVN enabled SegWit for its Online Services about a year ago in order to allow its clients faster & cheaper transactions processing on the Bitcoin network.
