400;\">\u201cmoney creation out of thin air\u201d <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has provided us with another month of entertainment, as fiat investors saw initially their banks in North America blowing up (starting with some of the \u201ccrypto-friendly\u201d banks such as Silvergate and quickly spreading to Silicon Valley Bank and Signature bank), followed within days by distress signalized at their European counterparts at Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CaitlinLong_\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Caitlin Long<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/custodiabank.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Custodia Bank<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been warning against the inevitable for years &#8211; and maybe never more succinctly than in her 2021 appearance at Bitcoin Magazine\u2019s annual Bitcoin conference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"odysee-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/odysee.com\/$\/embed\/@FreedomVideos_and_more:2\/debate-over-leverage-caitlin-long-sbf:b?r=E5Hy7FnLRT4hNma8h17VpC9ChNY1PKYV\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEven those of us who are not leveraged have the downside that the price is more volatile &#8211; it increases the cost of capital for everybody in the industry\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the major reasons behind that the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cash2vn.com\/stats\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">remittance market has been mostly taken over by Tether<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cash2vn.com\/send-money?with=usdc\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">other stablecoins<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the ongoing volatility of Bitcoin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Volatility forces wider spreads on market participants to hedge out their risks &#8211; at which point the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinvn.io\/?deposit=vnd&amp;settle=usdttrc20\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">utilization of a stablecoin like Tether<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> simply becomes more economical.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Especially in the high volume remittance market a difference of tens of basis points is a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">massive difference<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which makes Bitcoin entirely uncompetitive for this market segment.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Commodity credit and circulation credit<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circulation credit is a more technical term for IOU\u2019s which are not backed by any underlying real savings &#8211; or in more plain terms: Fraud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When unbacked IOU\u2019s (\u201cpaper Bitcoin\u201d) are generated en masse by centralized custodians or fractional reserve lenders and treated (temporarily) as equivalent to the actual underlying money, it allows the generators of these paper Bitcoins to exchange real goods and services for unbacked paper Bitcoin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A \u201cget rich fast\u201d scheme that works for the originators of these paper Bitcoin &#8211; at the cost of everyone else who is restricted to holding the actual underlying Bitcoin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However &#8211; since those paper Bitcoin are not backed by real Bitcoin the overleveraged scheme is due to collapse from time to time &#8211; and opposite to the fiat monetary system, there is no Central Bank which simply can \u201cprint the difference\u201d to bail out fractional reserve operators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bagholders become those who are left holding the unbacked IOU\u2019s rather than the real Bitcoin once the music stops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t let this happen to you &#8211; and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.bitcoinvn.io\/product-category\/hardware-wallets\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">withdraw your Bitcoin to your own wallet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Claims to the underlying out of thin air<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have 100 people believing they own a Bitcoin (because they hold a paper Bitcoin balance), while actually only one<span style=\"color: #333333;\"> <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoinvn.io\/how-to-keep-your-crypto-safe\/\">real Bitcoin<\/a> <\/span>is available\u2026 trouble is mathematically certain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With fractional fiat money banks (in the business of generating fiat IOU\u2019s), they can from time to time make up the difference by calling up their buddies at the central bank to print up some more underlying fiat &#8211; be it dollars, yen, pounds, euros\u2026 &#8211; there is an infinite amount of cash at the Federal Reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"odysee-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/odysee.com\/$\/embed\/@FreedomVideos_and_more:2\/infinite-amount-of-cash:6?r=4zoHRGEHpq2GnAieDeEis1bJQrWm3Sxc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><b>The good news is:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your bank will in such a system never be at risk to not honour your IOUs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lender of last resort is ready to jump into action with its printing press whenever too many people at once try to convert their unbacked circulation credit into the underlying fiat money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yay!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yay?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The bad news:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This regular occurrence of needing to print the difference between underlying fiat and the massively inflated issued circulation credit due to the nature of fractional reserve banking\u2026 means there will ever be more underlying fiat in existence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And that means\u2026 the value of each of
