When an address is substituted, two very different things may have happened:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>A dishonest exchange<\/b> changes payment details and blames the customer.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinvn.io\/insights\/crypto-clipper-microsoft\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Malware on the customer\u2019s device<\/b> replaces an address<\/a>, without any wrongdoing by the exchange.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By preserving the details BitcoinVN signed, the letter makes subsequent alterations detectable. Confirm the key\u2019s fingerprint through a separate, trusted source.<\/p>\n<p>Before paying, check that the letter\u2019s payout address matches your intended receiving wallet and that the payout asset and network are correct. Also check that your outgoing payment uses the recorded deposit address, asset and network. Resolve any discrepancies before sending funds.<\/p>\n<p>The letter preserves your order\u2019s <b>original details and payment terms<\/b>. It remains unchanged if the order changes, so always consult the order page for current instructions and status.
