The rise of the Internet occurred during the rare anomaly of a unipolar world order, where tools and infrastructure were built with a focus on efficiency and convenience, often at the expense of resilience and sustainability in hostile conditions.<\/p>\n

Now, as global conflicts intensify, tools once built with a focus on efficiency and convenience over resilience and sustainability are being weaponized, sabotaged, or deteriorating under adversarial pressure.<\/p>\n

In this environment, relying on highly centralized systems, prime targets for those seeking control or to inflict damage, is risky.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re all well aware that centralized social media platforms like Twitter\/X, Meta, Telegram, and their equivalents worldwide are under increasing pressure and scrutiny. Many have even been actively used in psyops and cyber warfare against adversarial players on the geopolitical chessboard.<\/p>\n

These platforms are not a safe place to rely on for maintaining your social graph<\/a>. With just one click by a single individual, your profile, data, and connections could vanish forever.<\/p>\n

Enter Nostr.<\/p>\n

First and foremost: Nostr is designed with censorship resistance in mind.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to note that Nostr isn\u2019t primarily a privacy tool. If privacy is your main concern, there are other tools likely better suited for that purpose.<\/p>\n

Nostr\u2019s focus is on giving you ownership of your social graph and your data, while ensuring they\u2019re distributed across a broad network of relays (including your own, if you choose to run one!)<\/a>. This prevents any single entity from having the power to erase you from the digital world.<\/p>\n

Nostr redefines the power asymmetry created by the highly centralized Big Tech social media platforms.<\/p>\n

Create an account, sign up for your first paid relay (relying solely on public relays isn\u2019t a great UX!), and start following some of your favorite Bitcoiners, macro commentators, philosophers, and authors who have already made the move to Nostr.<\/p>\n
