Without open source, none of us would be here.<\/p>\n

Without open source, the outlook for the future would certainly look much different.<\/p>\n

If we had to rely solely on closed-source projects, Bitcoin would not be a thing, and plenty of other freedom-advancing technologies would not exist either.<\/p>\n

As such, we at BitcoinVN, Vietnam\u2019s premier Bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchange<\/a>, are striving to contribute back to the open-source ecosystem within our capabilities.<\/p>\n

While our financial resources might not be as large as those of some of the well-funded Western platforms, we have focused on targeted contributions to projects and communities whose work we value highly<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our efforts include both sponsorships and hands-on contributions, particularly in the form of translations, which we believe will foster greater adoption of these technologies in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

Some of our key contributions include:<\/p>\n

1. Mempool Bitcoin Explorer<\/a><\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve provided translation support and sponsorship for this self-hosted mempool and blockchain explorer, which focuses on the transaction fee market and multi-layer ecosystem.<\/p>\n

2. Blixt Wallet<\/a><\/h2>\n

Our team has contributed translations for this self-custodial open-source Bitcoin Lightning wallet for Android, helping to make it more accessible to Vietnamese users.<\/p>\n

3. Zeus Lightning App<\/a><\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve also supported this open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin wallet with translations, enabling more Vietnamese users to make lightning-fast payments with full control over their funds.<\/p>\n

4. Base58<\/a><\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve provided event sponsorship for Base58, a software engineering school built on the Bitcoin standard. Led by Lisa Neigut (aka \u201cniftynei\u201d), Base58 offers online and in-person classes, contributing to the education and growth of the Bitcoin developer community.<\/p>\n
