Bitcoin Thailand Conference is just around the corner – and Team BitcoinVN will be in attendance!
For our team, the gathering is an opportunity to catch up with friends, meet fellow builders and strengthen connections across Southeast Asia’s Bitcoin community.
Whether you are a BitcoinVN client, a potential partner or a fellow Bitcoiner making the trip to Bangkok, come say hello! We look forward to exchanging ideas, hearing what you are working on and discussing how we can help bring Bitcoin into everyday use.
About Bitcoin Thailand
Taking place on 28–29 November 2026 at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok, the conference will bring together Bitcoiners for two days of talks, workshops and opportunities to connect. A dedicated Lightning Market will also give visitors the chance to spend their sats and experience Bitcoin payments in practice.
The conference is organized by Right Shift, a Thai Bitcoin education and media company co-founded by Thai Bitcoin luminary Piriya Sambandaraksa, whose contributions to Bitcoin education include translating Saifedean Ammous’ seminal book The Bitcoin Standard into Thai.

Through Thai-language content, translations, courses and community gatherings, Right Shift helps people understand sound money, self-custody and Bitcoin’s practical use – broadening awareness and supporting adoption across Thailand. Its work also supports the development of a circular Bitcoin economy, where people can earn, spend and save in Bitcoin – taking it beyond a mere “investment asset” and into everyday use as money for the people, by the people.
Lightning Market’s focus on everyday Bitcoin commerce resonates with our own work at BitcoinVN – from operating one of South East Asia’s largest Lightning routing nodes and infrastructure and providing liquidity, to investing in the companies building out the wider ecosystem.
Building out the network and its underlying infrastructure is hard, time-consuming work. But we believe these foundations will provide fertile ground for adoption to accelerate once key milestones are reached.
For a long time, progress may appear modest and barely noticeable to the outside observer. What – eventually – looks like a sudden surge in adoption can be the result of years of patient, focused and relentless work behind the scenes.

Our team member Fabian is well known to many Bitcoiners across East and Southeast Asia for his relentless work in support of Bitcoin communities at home and abroad. In his “real-life job”, he served as Department Lead for BitcoinVN’s BTM division, building out a complete Bitcoin ATM hardware and software solution in-house and operating what was, at the time, Vietnam’s largest domestic BTM network.
While the network is currently in a period of transition as Vietnam introduces a new regulatory framework, the product-building experience remains. Years of tinkering, soldering, wiring, designing and coordinating with domestic and international partners have given him a very solid foundation from which to share the lessons learned along the way.
Fabian Rodriguez: “The Thailand community is one of the most energizing Bitcoin communities in the Bitcoin space. It brings the entire spectrum of Bitcoiners: people newly orange-pilled, technical experts, builders, educators, facilitators, and anons. The core of what made and makes Bitcoin.

Going back and being able to share the work and ethos of building in Bitcoin with the community I have grown beside means a lot. Hardware is hard; attacks on all fronts are happening every day. At the session, I’ll talk about what we have been working on, our progress and contribution to Bitcoin.
I’m looking forward to speaking in Bangkok and reconnecting with the crew at Right Shift (and the guys at BOB Space and Chiang Mai). They put on one of the strongest events in the space.”
Fabian is expected to explore why “hardware is hard” – and the challenges of bringing a Bitcoin hardware product from concept to reality.
The majority of builders in the Bitcoin ecosystem work on Bitcoin software – a job that has changed dramatically with the ever more powerful capabilities of AI, making software far easier to build, but far more difficult to secure as those same capabilities also empower threat actors at scale.
Building in the physical world, however, brings a whole other set of difficulties – and a humbling appreciation for those who take on the engineering challenges of building the world and technologies around us, from advanced transportation and telecommunications systems to the everyday appliances that improve our standard of living.
To see what form these challenges take in Bitcoin, come and join Fabian’s session on why “hardware is hard”, currently scheduled for Sunday, 29 November, from 16:30 to 17:00.

Other topics on the programme focus on taking control of your money, protecting your financial privacy and putting Bitcoin to practical use. Sessions will explore hardware wallets and seed phrase security, surveillance and financial control, alongside developments such as PayJoin and Ark. Bitcoin mining, education and building a Bitcoin business also feature – bringing together the tools, knowledge and infrastructure needed to support a wider Bitcoin economy.
BitcoinVN – originally launched in 2014 as Vietnam’s first Bitcoin exchange and drawing on well over a decade of experience in security-sensitive Bitcoin operations – will look to contribute, to the best of our ability, to the growth, strength and expertise of the wider Southeast Asian Bitcoin ecosystem, despite the increasingly challenging regulatory environment in our home market.
If you would like to connect, discuss your own Bitcoin needs or explore how we might be able to help, feel free to reach out to our team directly.
